"A brilliant selection of experts on offer, from distinguished QC's to juniors. All are immersed in public sector matters from the start of their career at chambers" Chambers & Partners
Administrative or public law is the law relating to the discharge of functions of a public nature in government and administration. 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square has a long-standing reputation and continuing expertise in this field .
Members advise public authorities, officers and tribunals as to the discharge of their functions, as well as advising individuals as to the lawfulness of actions taken by such bodies. They represent all of these parties in judicial review proceedings and consistently appear in the leading cases. The reach of administrative law and the subject matter of associated judicial review proceedings are vast. As well as the specific subject headings identified in this section, there is overlap with much of the other work carried out by 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square, for example in relation to regulatory and disciplinary bodies, ombudsmen and planning and environmental law. Members have unrivalled expertise in all these matters.
4-5 Gray’s Inn Square has many current and former members of the Attorney General’s Panels of Counsel: presently 3 members on the A Panel, 5 on the B Panel and 4 on the C Panel.
