Alexandra is dually-qualified as a barrister in England and Wales and as a New York attorney, a qualified commercial mediator and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb). She accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ core areas, with a focus in commercial cases, and particularly employment law and arbitration. Alexandra is also a member of the Attorney General’s Junior Junior Scheme.
In her employment practice, Alexandra has represented both Claimants and Respondents in the Employment Tribunal, in multi-day unfair dismissal, discrimination and TUPE cases. Often, she is successful in reaching favourable settlements for her clients. Most notably, Alexandra recently conducted a 7-day TUPE preliminary hearing, representing 8 claimants against 8 Respondents.
Alexandra is instructed as a sole and junior counsel in commercial ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations, including instructions to advise by reference to English law in international matters.
Alexandra is dedicated to pro-bono work. Having been a volunteer at FRU since August 2016, she has represented a number of clients in their appeals to the Social Security Tribunal, and in Employment Tribunal cases. Further, she undertakes work with Advocate.
