Practice Summary
Peter joined 4-5 as a Third-Six following the completion of his pupillage in a well-established criminal chambers. During pupillage Peter prosecuted and defended serious cases in the Crown Court on behalf of professional and lay clients. Peter's practice included a breadth of civil orders, licensing and appellate work which have included novel points of law to the Court of Appeal. Peter has developed a strong advisory practice to individuals and institutions.
Whilst studying Peter won the Middle Temple's Rosamund Smith Mooting Competition in 2020 and led the second-place team in BPP University's 'Advocate of the Year Competition'. He brings both a keen intellect and a practical understanding of advocacy to his work.
Peter accepts instructions in all chambers' areas of work. He is a member of the Attorney-General's Junior Junior scheme and his interests stretch beyond the confines of any single area. He is particularly keen to develop a practice in public, regulatory and professional disciplinary work. As a member of the Diocesan Synod for the Diocese of London Peter has a keen interest in ecclesiastical law related to the Church of England and accepts instructions in proceedings brought under the Clergy Discipline Measure.
