Andrew Dymond accepts invitation to speak at SHLA Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 An evening with an expert panel - 23rd May 2019
On 20 December 2018, the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Bill received its Royal Assent becoming the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018. It came into force on 20 March 2019. The Act started its life as a Private Members’ Bill introduced by Ms Karen Buck. The Act is a key piece of legislation for our members.
SHLA are delighted to inform its members that they will hear from Karen Buck MP and Giles Peaker, Partner at Anthony Gold Solicitors on the Act. Two further panel members to be announced in due course. The seminar and panel format will facilitate discussion on the Act, its provisions and how it will impact (and, indeed, perhaps how it is already impacting) on social housing providers and their tenants.
