Greenwashing: rising regulatory temperature for financial services
In advance of COP26 starting on Sunday, Nikesh Pandit, regulatory barrister at 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square, and Alessia de Quincey, solicitor advocate at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, have co-authored a guide on the rising interest from financial services regulators in tackling greenwashing. The guide explores the meaning of greenwashing in the financial services context, existing rules to enforce against greenwashing, key regulatory initiatives to further combat this risk, and practical tips for firms to mitigate this risk.
