Saima Hanif returns to Chambers following an eight month stint in the Financial Regulatory department of the world's largest law firm Clifford Chance LLP, and a further 6 month secondment as Legal Assistant to the Financial Markets Law Committee, which is housed in the Bank of England.

US$45 million confiscation order in the British Virgin Islands (BVI)

One of the largest ever confiscations orders ever entered in a common law jurisdiction was made by BVI High Court Justice Indra Hariprashad-Charles on Thursday, 1 May 2008, following a joint international investigation carried out by the authorities in the BVI and Bermuda. On 20th August 2008 the court issued its judgment giving reasons for its decision.
