Biography
Emily is the Senior Clerk and has a key role in driving Chambers’ client strategy and business development activity. She works closely with clients to ensure they are matched with the most appropriate Counsel, providing strategic insight, commercial awareness, and clear guidance throughout. Her detailed knowledge of Chambers’ members and their practices allows her to deliver timely advice and accurate fee proposals, supporting efficient and informed decision-making.
A central focus of Emily’s role is the development and management of senior client relationships. She is committed to delivering a consistently high standard of client care, while identifying opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and expand Chambers’ domestic and international client base. Alongside this, Emily provides leadership to more junior practice managers, acting as a mentor to foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and high performance within the clerking team.
Emily plays an active and influential role in Chambers’ diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, working collaboratively with members and staff to drive forward meaningful and lasting positive change across Chambers and for its clients. She is committed to ensuring that working practices, opportunities and client engagement reflect the highest standards of fairness, accessibility and representation. Emily is particularly drawn to the legal, political and social importance of the work undertaken at 4–5 Gray’s Inn Square, and takes pride in supporting cases that have a genuine impact on individuals, communities and the development of the law.
Emily works in close collaboration with the Senior Practice Managers, and our Director of International Development to implement business development initiatives and support Chambers’ strategic growth in the UK and overseas.
Emily holds a BA in English from Birkbeck, University of London.
