Our members possess a long and dedicated tradition of being experts in the field accompanied with significant experience that can be drawn upon across the whole range of considerations that may emerge. Whether a question arises under the legislation applicable to what might be regarded as the traditional application under the planning Acts, including matters related to enforcement, listed buildings or conservation areas, or in respect of more recent innovations, we have the expertise and experience to help.
Our Barristers specialise in the processes of planning applications for the development, construction or change of use of a building or buildings; compulsory purchase orders (CPO); and s106 agreements. Our members are experts in contentious judicial reviews, inquiries and appeals; and non-contentious planning and CPO strategies relating to development projects and urban regeneration schemes. Our members also undertake large infrastructure schemes.
Overall, we pride ourselves on being up to date with all requirements, being knowledgeable in relation to the application of all relevant matters drawing upon the experience we have gained over many years having been one of the first sets of Chambers established to provide assistance in this field. Whether it be providing advice in respect of how best to present an application and the evidential support required for it, or how best such an application should be considered, or the requirements in respect of an appeal in relation to a decision made and subsequently considered by Inspectors or before the Courts we have the knowledge, expertise and experience to assist.
