Dartmoor National Park wild camping appeal win - Tim Straker KC and Vivienne Sedgley
4-5's Tim Straker KC, Head of Chambers and Vivienne Sedgley have successfully represented Devon County Council in their appeal to reverse the decision made in January which ruled that wild camping was no longer allowed in Dartmoor National Park.
The right to wild camp had been allowed under a decades-old local law until January this year, when it was challenged by a local landowner. In a landmark decision in the Court of Appeal, it will now return as the only place in England where wild camping is allowed without permission.
