Jayesh Jotangia on behalf of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), concludes a 6-day Fitness to Practise hearing against a Podiatrist
Jayesh Jotangia, instructed by Vicky Lankester of Kingsley Napley representing the HCPC, convinced the HCPTS Tribunal to make findings of misconduct, dishonesty and lack of competence against a Podiatrist. The allegations in general concerned inadequate note taking, inadequate care of a patient, wrongly informing colleagues that the Podiatrist was a doctor and continuing to drive when he had informed his employer that he was not driving as a result of a driving suspension. The Tribunal found that the Podiatrist had acted dishonestly on 2 allegations amounting to misconduct and that his fitness to practise was currently impaired, resulting in a 4-month suspension.
