2016 – 2020: University of York - PhD in Law
Vanishing safety nets, the citizenship illusion, and the worker that isn’t: a case study of EU migrant atypical workers’ rights in the UK.
This PhD used a mixed methods approach, utilising doctrinal legal and theoretical analysis alongside empirical case study methodologies to analyse the application of the minimum earnings threshold in welfare benefit and permanent residence card applications to determine if an EU national fits the definition of a worker.
