Our barristers are noted experts in housing, landlord and tenant, and residential and commercial property law. Chambers has particular specialism in social housing, being ranked in Band 1 by both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Chambers is committed to providing a comprehensive service to all who need advice or representation in housing matters and members act for local authorities, PRPs, leaseholders, tenants and the homeless. Our social housing work includes: allocations, homelessness, regulation of social landlords, possession, rents and service charges, right to buy, anti-social behaviour, Equality Act issues, disrepair, statutory nuisance, HMO licensing and rent repayment orders.

We also provide a comprehensive service on all aspects of private sector residential landlord and tenant, including leasehold enfranchisement, lease extensions, right to manage, appointment of managers, service charge disputes, forfeiture, disrepair and unlawful eviction. Our more general property work includes business tenancies, dilapidations, construction of leases, mortgages, trusts, wills and intestacy, restrictive covenants, easements, mobile homes, adverse possession and boundary disputes.
