Practice Summary
Elizabeth has a rapidly expanding mediation practice. Before becoming a barrister in 2018 and a mediator thereafter, she had over 20 years of commercial negotiation and dispute resolution experience with some of the world’s largest companies. She has worked across the globe with a range of people in varied legal and commercial areas. She is highly sought after in technical or manufacturing disputes. She is an accredited CMC mediator and is appointed as sole mediator, joint mediator and as Counsel at mediation. She completed her training for CMC accreditation under four leading Legal 500 Mediators. In 2024 she became a Legal 500 mediator, and she is ranked alongside leading KC’s.
Her mediation experience includes commercial, unusual contracts/debts, manufacturing, retail, construction, horses, cars, probate and interesting personal property. She has experience in a range of land and property matters including housing, Japanese Knotweed, damage claims, professional negligence, aviation, nuisance and negligence. Her local government work includes debt, contract, insurance claims and anti-social behaviour. She is considered an expert in matters relating to arboricultural matters (trees, forests and hedges).She is also a workplace mediator in single and multi-day mediations.
Elizabeth has qualifications in both Food Science and Law and her experience is unique. She has worked for the second largest retailer in the UK (Sainsbury’s), a global forestry and consumer goods manufacturer (SCA/Essity) and a chemicals food ingredients manufacturer (Celanese). She also understands what it is like being on ‘both sides’ of the table in any legal dispute. As part of her other activities, Elizabeth sits on decision panels for the Government and on professional conduct committees.
