Practice Summary

Kaykay joined 4-5 as a Third-Six pupil following completion of his pupillage at a reputable common-law chambers. He is now looking to build a busy court-based civil practice, accepting instructions across chambers practice areas, but with a particular focus in housing and property matters.

During pupillage Kaykay developed a broad civil and criminal practice, involving applications on behalf of private and social housing landlords, trials in the County Court involving road traffic accidents including credit hire, as well as applications for summary judgment and strike-out. His criminal practice involved prosecuting and defending cases on behalf of professional and lay clients in the Magistrate and Crown Courts.

Before pupillage, Kaykay worked in the property finance department of a well-established firm of solicitors where he gained experience in commercial property transactions and housing development. Whilst studying the Graduate Diploma in Law, Kaykay received a runner-up prize in the annual Times Law Awards essay competition for an essay on the human rights and their role in the interpretation of history.

Outside of his work, Kaykay has a keen interest in philosophy and history, having graduated with a Double-First in the subject from King’s College London.
