LLG Junior Lawyers Training Day 29th September
We are delighted to be involved in the Junior Lawyers Training and Development Day, run by LLG and hosted by Womble Bond Dickinson at their offices at More London Riverside. Vivienne Sedgley and other members from 4-5 will form part of the programme aimed at Junior Lawyers working in Local Government in what promises to be a day full of practical learning delivered by highly experienced local authority practitioners.
The training will be a full day of in-person training. Sessions will explore areas including the administrative machinery of local government; local authority powers, vires and the general power of competence; access to and duties relating to information; the rights and duties of members and standards of conduct; and local authorities and the courts, including discretion, legitimate expectation, and the public sector equality duty.
In addition to hearing from expert speakers from both local government and private practice, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with other junior lawyer colleagues, as well as with members of the LLG Board. This is a great opportunity to build important relationships, share experiences, and develop your career as a lawyer in local government.
