4-5 Gray’s Inn Square Welcomes Boris Lazic as a Full Member
4-5 Gray’s Inn Square Chambers is delighted to announce that Boris Lazic has joined Chambers as a full tenant following the successful completion of his pupillage.
Boris brings with him more than twelve years of experience as an advocate in Cyprus, where he developed a substantial commercial and chancery practice before transferring to the Bar of England and Wales. His extensive practice overseas encompassed complex shareholder disputes, insolvency, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and economic torts, alongside significant exposure to minority oppression claims and corporate litigation.
He has particular expertise in interlocutory relief, having acted in matters involving freezing (Mareva) orders, disclosure orders, and the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. This experience has equipped him with a strong grounding in urgent and high-value applications before both trial and appellate courts.
Since commencing practice in England, Boris has already been instructed in a range of substantial and high-profile matters, including:
Representing an insurance start-up in a €10 million funding and acquisition transaction involving Zurich;
Acting in international arbitration (under LMAA Rules) concerning multi-million dollar claims;
Applying to appeal an arbitration award under the Arbitration Act 1996;
Defending a licensing authority in a judicial appeal relating to conditions imposed on a business licence;
Securing judgment in a legal fees dispute involving the breach of a conditional fee agreement.
Boris is also multilingual (English, Serbian, Russian, and Greek) and is well-placed to advise on cross-border disputes and international commercial work. He continues to accept instructions in both contentious and non-contentious English law matters.
