Court of Appeal grants permission to appeal in Zaman v Waltham Forest

Permission for a second appeal in Zaman v Waltham Forest has been granted by Arnold LJ. The case raises important points of principle regarding the lawfulness of the Respondent’s policy of ‘zoning’ of out-of-borough offers of accommodation in discharge of duties under Part VII Housing Act 1996, and regarding the proper approach to assessment of affordability when making such offers.
