Denmark’s investigation into the Solo Capital hedge fund, Jonathan Rose instructed

SKAT [the Danish tax authority], have brought a claim in the Commercial Court against 80+ defendants with at least 23 legal teams alleging fraudulent and/or the wrongful reclaim of dividend withholding tax . The claim is for in excess of £1bn and is alleged to have been orchestrated from Dubai and involves amongst others US and Malaysian pension funds.

Following the recently completed 3 day CMC, there are likely to be in excess of 10m documents to be disclosed and the trial will not take place before  October 2022. The current time estimate is up to 4 legal terms. Counsel is instructed by CGS Legal in Holborn for a defendant alleged to have helped facilitate the scheme whilst working as a stock lending broker in Dubai.
