Josep Galvez Appointed to SIAC Panel of Arbitrators
SIAC is one of the world’s foremost arbitral institutions, and Josep’s appointment reflects his significant standing in the field of international arbitration, particularly in matters involving Latin America, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and state-related disputes.
Josep is a dual-qualified barrister and former Spanish judge, with over two decades of experience handling complex cross-border disputes, including those involving sovereign immunity, investment treaties, enforcement of arbitral awards, and regulatory interference. He acts in proceedings governed by SIAC, ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, and LCIA rules, and is noted for his ability to operate seamlessly across both civil and common law jurisdictions.
In addition to his practice, Josep contributes to the development of the field through frequent publication and service on editorial boards, including Law360’s International Arbitration Board.
