Katharine Elliot nominated for Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year

Katharine represented the campaign group, Stop Bengeo Quarry (SBQ) - a community of over 4,000 residents, who are against plans for a proposed gravel quarry on the edge of Hertford. Katharine single-handedly wrote all appeal documents for SBQ, a feat that even impressed the expert witnesses she examined.
Katharine was successful in resisting the appeal and the quarry will now not go ahead. With over 200 hours of pro bono to her credit in this case, Katharine has been widely praised for her commitment and dedication.
