London & Quadrant v Miss Charles
Jasraj Sanghera represented the Defendant in a Claim for possession. The Claim was brought, inter alia, following expiry of a Notice to Quit which had been served on the Defendant on the basis that she was not occupying the property as her only or principal home. The Court found that the Defendant was not occupying the property as her only or principal home, but the Court went on to find that the Claimant had unlawfully discriminated against the Defendant contrary to section 15 of the Equality Act 2010 and that the Claimant had breached section 149 of the Equality Act 2010. As a result, the Court dismissed the Claim for possession.
