Satinder Hunjan QC secures award of £26 million for unnecessary brain surgery

A 3-year-old who underwent unnecessary brain surgery for a tumour, has been awarded in excess of £26 million.

The child – now an adult – has severe behavioural difficulties as a result of the surgery and requires substantial and expert care for life. The award was structured by way of an ‘adult’ million-pound lump sum plus substantial periodical payments for life.
