Before joining chambers Stefan held various positions of responsibility as a senior legal and policy adviser during his service with the Hong Kong Government.
His expertise lies in the following sectors:
The law relating to central banking and the regulation/supervision of a wide range of financial institutions; regulatory compliance and discipline; cross-border resolution and recovery in the banking sector; development of domestic legislation for the financial services industry in line with international standards.
Stefan practised as a barrister principally in the areas of commercial, banking and insurance before becoming an international legal adviser to one of the then largest British banking groups in London advising on sovereign risk lending and corporate finance including aviation finance.
