Adj Prof Arran Dowling-Hussey Co-Authors Landmark Adjudication Article in Adjudication Society Newsletter

Adj Prof Arran Dowling-Hussey, a member of our Construction & Engineering Group at 4-5 Gray's Inn Square, has co-wrote an article in the Adjudication Society Summer 2025 Newsletter.

The piece examines Mr. Justice Garrett Simons’ landmark judgment — the first time an Irish Court has refused to enforce an adjudicator’s decision under Section 6 of the Construction Contracts Act 2013. Arran and co-writer James O’Donoghue explore the drafting intent behind Article 5 of the RIAI Yellow Form, its implications for delivering notices under the CCA, and the wider uncertainty over the interpretation of Section 4(3).
