Practice Summary
Benedict Scantlebury joined 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square as a pupil barrister in October 2023 under the supervision of Vivienne Sedgley and Jonathan Manning. During his first six he experienced a range of work across Chambers’ practising areas, namely in local authority, housing, elections, and planning. Benedict has a particular interest in public law.
Benedict was called to the Bar in July 2023 having received the highest overall mark in his cohort on the ICCA Bar Course and several academic awards. His legal experience includes working as a data protection paralegal and a placement with a capital defender’s officer in Louisiana.
