CMC Annual Conference 2019

Colin Manning (Joint Head of Group), Iain Christie and Patrick Taylor speak at the CMC Annual Conference 2019 at Hallam Conference Centre, 44 Hallam St, Marylebone, London W1W 6JJ. The full day conference is designed to help meet challenges you may face in your day-to-day practise of mediation.

Key Note Speaker – Bill Wood QC, Alternative Dispute Resolution Member of the Civil Justice Council


Panel Debate – Rosemary Jackson QC moderates a mediation users’ panel which discusses what mediation users want


What Mediators Need to Know About Cognitive Bias – Spenser Hilliard & Iain Christie deliver an interactive session to explore the importance of recognising and dealing with cognitive bias in the mediation process

The Workplace Café – come and participate in our interactive engaging session. Using the World Café conversation method, we will look at number of workplace mediation issues such as confidentiality, mental health and conflict coaching. When it gets personal – An exploration of when mediation becomes personal for the individuals involved. We will explore the importance of working with people’s emotions and the barriers to this; discuss tools, skills and styles to assist the parties; and question the effect of the personal impact on parties and on the outcome.
