What a fantastic day we had yesterday at our annual Housing and Homelessness Conference in Birmingham.
The conference covered a wide range of important topics surrounding housing and homelessness. We were delighted to begin the day with our guest speaker Anya Greig from St Mungo’s, who opened the event with an inspiring talk.
She highlighted St Mungo’s core purpose “to end homelessness and rebuild lives” and shared a heartfelt story about a member of their team who had once experienced homelessness themselves and was supported by the frontline team at St Mungo’s.
Throughout the day, members of our housing team delivered insightful sessions on key issues affecting the sector, including:

• Ian Peacock – Homelessness: Suitability and discharge of duty
• Elizabeth Nicholls – Housing and Mediation

• Kevin Brown – Key points in homelessness decisions
• Iain Colville – Housing needs assessments and Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs)

It was a valuable day of learning, discussion, and collaboration around the important work being done to support those facing housing challenges.
