Practice Summary

Elizabeth comes to chambers with over 20 years’ experience in international corporate companies. She advises and represents clients in commercial and chancery including contract, company law, fraud, asset recovery, consumer goods, retail, dispute resolution and intellectual property. She welcomes instructions in offshore matters.

Before coming to the Bar, Elizabeth spent her career working for a leading global consumer products manufacturer, SCA (now Essity), responsible for commercial product development and brand/own brand marketing. Latterly she worked for one of the UK’s top supermarket retailers, Sainsbury’s, leading commercial buying, marketing and technical teams. She has managed thousands of consumer products, successfully led high-profile multi-million pound negotiations and resolved complex disputes with some of the world’s biggest blue-chip suppliers.

Elizabeth has experience of managing categories with a profit and loss ranging from £300 million to £2.2bn turnover a year and managed some of the UK’s most recognised brands. She has also assisted in investigations into allegations of misconduct, bribery and market price fixing.

Elizabeth has vast experience of complex and sensitive negotiations on an international level, having worked in Sweden, Eastern Europe, Hong-Kong and China. She also ran her own consulting business working with leading management consultants in the UK, Europe and Australia.  She is an effective communicator, even where there is high pressure or previous negative relationships.

Using her considerable business experience and legal knowledge, she has the ability to think commercially and strategically when advising all her clients. She is highly analytical with a forensic approach to problem solving. Elizabeth is also a Civil and Commercial Mediator and training to be an Arbitrator.
